Monel400 (UNS NO4400/W.Nr.2.4360) is a corrosion-resistant nickel-copper alloy with wide usage and good comprehensive properties. Due to differences in chemical composition, it can have many grades, but there is a difference in corrosion resistance between them. There is no significant difference. The alloy is a solid solution alloy that can only be hardened by cold work. It has high strength and toughness over a wide temperature range and has excellent resistance to many corrosive environments.

Monel400 alloy is widely used in many fields, especially marine and chemical processes. Typical applications are pumps and valves; pump and impeller shafts; fixtures and fasteners for marine applications; electrical and electronic components; springs; chemical equipment; oil, gas and fresh water tanks; crude oil stills; process vessels and piping; boiler feed heaters and other heat exchangers and degassing heaters.
